A young mama comes through our doors carrying everything she owns, a little one in her arms, and years of hurt she never chose.

What she needs is more than a roof over her head.

She needs someone to believe in her. A safe place to breathe. Time to heal. People who will walk beside her as she learns to parent, manage money, pursue education and employment, and build a life of stability and independence.

Most of all, she needs hope.

For years, the SONshine Home has been that place. But we’ve had to say 'no' to far too many mamas who needed it. That’s why we’re opening Heritage Home, growing from 5 beds to 9 so we can say 'yes' more often.
